European and international cooperation

Relations with the EU institutions

ECSDA is a recognised partner for the European Union institutions. The association participates in various official fora dealing with clearing and settlement issues. ECSDA representatives also regularly discuss issues of common interest to depositories with the European Commission, Council and Parliament, as well as with the European Securities Markets Authority (ESMA), the European Central Bank (ECB) and national regulators.

International cooperation

As a European association, ECSDA also supports initiatives aimed at gobal convergence in post-trade. For instance, ECSDA regularly exchanges information with other regional CSD associations composing the World Forum of CSDs (WFC).
